  • Wyrd Witch 101 is an ongoing Women's Learning Circle for individuals wanting to initiate or deepen their relationship to Witchcraft. Every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month, you'll have the opportunity to explore, share, ask questions, experiment, play, and practice in an intimate setting with magical sisters. The 1st Friday will be held in SE Portland, while the 3rd Friday will be held in Gladstone. The intention is to create a container where all participants can express their unique gifts and delve into creating meaningful, lasting, and authentic personal practices, so that their magic may flourish and weave naturally into everyday life.

Each gathering will start off with an "emptying of baskets" where we personally express what we've been feeling lately and what our current emotional, spiritual, and mental landscape looks like. Within this sharing we witness our sisters and learn how to be of support, comfort, encouragement, and accountability to our fellow Witches . We'll then collectively pick a magical topic or two to discuss followed by some guided instruction and exploration of said topic.

We'll deep dive into practices such as: creating rituals, spellcrafting, enchanting, grounding, clearing, protection, manifesting & visioning, altar tending, divination & scrying, working with the elements, connecting with our guides and ancestors, celebrating the turning of the wheel & seasonal practices, how to work with deities, embodiment, deepening our connections with plant, animal, and nature spirits...and much, much MORE.

What to Bring: A snack to share, a journal, and backjack or floor cushion.

    When: 1st & 3rd Fridays from 7-9pm

Seasonal Events

  • Something to Ponder: Across all cultures, there was a time when we made music for one another, moved and danced for one another, more often than not, for the sake of healing and deepening our spiritual connection. When we bring in the energy of live music and sound alongside our journey practice, we remember.

The Shamanic Sound Journey experience is an opportunity to be immersed in live music; Rhythmic drumming, rattles, bells, and vocals, with the intention of entering an altered state of consciousness known as the ‘Shamanic State of Consciousness (SSC). This meditative trance state can range from very light to very deep and anywhere in between. It can be as light as a daydream, something that we can easily snap out of, to something so deep that we temporarily step out of ordinary reality. In this journey session, we’ll drop our stories, open ourselves up to the great mystery, and allow ourselves to take a ride.

What to Expect: This practice can be done completely still, seated or lying down comfortably. Some may find that allowing rhythmic movement like rocking, jostling, or shaking can help bring you into the SSC. While this will be a floor based practice (not standing), you will be free to move through any positions that feel supportive to you and your process, ie; seated on your bum, seated on your knees, being on all fours, or laying down in any position. As in many of my classes, you have the power to choose your own adventure, and I encourage you to trust the wisdom of your body throughout this experience.

Previous Experience: While no experience is necessary, it can be helpful if you already have an existing journey or meditation practice in place. If you don’t, this may feel a bit foreign at first but with consistency, dropping in will get easier over time. Alternatively, even if this work is completely new to you, it could feel like the most natural thing you’ve ever done! You just never know until you jump in.

If you already have an active meditation or shamanic journey practice in place and you’ve never experienced these practices under the influence of live music, get ready! On a personal level, I believe there are many ways to achieve the SSC state and I ask you to trust your own intuition. I invite you to bring along any tools and techniques that already work for you in your current practice.

Itinerary: We'll start off with some gentle movement, stretching, and breathwork as we get acquainted with one another and feel into the community dynamic. The sound journey itself will last roughly an hour, leaving us with thirty minutes of group integration time to connect and share before releasing the container.

What to Wear: Comfortable clothing that allows full body range of motion. Layers are good for temperature fluctuations as are socks or slippers.

What to Bring: Yoga mat, blanket, & pillow or anything else you need to feel comfortable on the floor. Yoga mats are available.

    When: Friday 3/14 from 9:30am-11:30am

    Where: Ida's Cave
Private Residence, address released 2 days prior

    Cost: $40-$60, sliding scale

  • What is Fika, you ask?
Fika is a social activity, often shared with friends, family, or colleagues. It's a moment of the day when people take a break from their daily routine, sit down, relax, and enjoy a cup of black coffee with a sweet treat. Fika is a way of slowing down and enjoying the moment, a custom deeply ingrained in Swedish culture. This daily ritual, often practiced twice per day, has become a cultural phenomenon that has been part of the Swedish way of life for over two centuries.

*You DO NOT need to have Swedish or Scandinavian lineage to join. ALL are welcome to come and have a taste for this wholesome tradition.

Atmosphere: This will be an informal and casual social gathering. We'll spend roughly 15 minutes to open and close the Fika as a group, but the hour between will unfold organically, a true time to relax with one another. We'll tune into what's coming up individually and collectively and close our ritual with a relevant healing practice that serves the day's group's needs.

    When: Saturday 3/15/25 from 10am-12pm

    Where: The Way Home Studio
    8435 SE Stark St.
    Portland, OR 97216

  • Come and treat your body to rest and renewal in a 1 hour guided Nordic Sauna session followed by another hour of gentle stretching and self-massage to celebrate the return of Spring.  This will be a semi-private session limited to 3 persons (co-ed, 18+).  The entirety of the stay will be approximately 2.5 hours to include restroom breaks, changing, and adequate rest.

What is a Nordic Sauna? Nordic Sauna is a process of 15 minutes in the hot sauna (150°F - 195°F) followed by either a cold water plunge or dousing which is then repeated 2-3 more times depending on tolerance.  The entire process takes approximately 60-75 minutes to complete.  A sauna whisk made of birch, oak, or eucalyptus is used to gently beat and whisk the body to encourage circulation and blood flow while offering protection and purification.  The entire process takes approximately 60-75 minutes to complete.  Sauna is a HUGE part of everyday Nordic culture.  Fun fact: There are more saunas than cars in Finland!

What to Expect:  You will be greeted and shown where to undress (swimsuit or sarong required) and then led out to the sauna and cold plunge area.  After we’ve finished the sauna process you’ll redress and join Ida in her cave where there will be a cozy self care station laid out just for you.  We’ll take about 10-15 minutes of rest on the floor to allow our body temperature to restore before moving into the self-care session.  Once rested, you will be guided through 1 hour of gentle floor based stretching and self-massage using various props. Gentle tunes, dim lights, and candles will help lull you into bliss.

About the Amenities:  The sauna itself is located in an urban backyard which is why we do have to adhere to some modesty rules.  The sauna is a tent style sauna with cedar benches inside and a wood burning stove.  The cold plunge area is a pergola with privacy curtains containing two claw foot tubs inside.  There’s a covered gazebo for lounging/cooling off.  Weather permitting, we’ll have a fire going in the fire pit as well.  Inside is a small sitting room and a bathroom (no shower available).  Ida’s cave is a 150 sq ft cozy room full of ambiance that will transport you to another time and place.

How to Prepare: Please arrive recently showered and well hydrated.  It’s recommended that you have at least 16oz of water prior to arrival and continue hydrating throughout your sauna session.  Abstain from alcohol the day of.  Eat lightly/avoid being overly full prior to sauna.
